About the College


Srijan Nursing College (Srijan Institute Of Paramedical Science) is located at Sadwa Khurd, Opp. J.P. Cement Blending Unit, Near Jari Bazar, Rewa Road, Prayagraj - 212107. The college is located strategically to allow students of various communities access to quality education and is in proximity to Srijan Vatsalya Hospital, a multi speciality, CGHS approved, NABH accredited hospital.

Clinical courses are offered in both hospital and community settings to allow students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to practice. This knowledge is imparted through highly qualified and experienced staff, well-equipped and updated laboratories and library, and practical knowledge in the field of nursing.

Overview Of Nursing Programme


Nursing is an honorable profession within the health care sector as it is focused on the care of individuals and communities so they may attain, maintain or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nurses are different from other health care providers by the way they approach patient care, training and their scope of practicing medicine.

Education for professional nursing draws from knowledge of behavioural and biological sciences. The various components include lectures, laboratory and concentrated clinical courses. The curriculum includes courses relevant to professional practice, delivery of nursing care, systems for care delivery and development of leadership skills appropriate to the current dynamics of the diverse healthcare setting.

The nursing curriculum allows students to take part in rural & urban health camps, education field visits, other community centres. The programme focuses on educating within an academic framework specifically directed to the development of critical thinking skills required for practice of professional nursing.

There is an emerging requirement of educated and trained nurses in India and abroad. A nurse can work in various settings including government and private hospitals, offices, factories, orphanages, old age homes, clinics, nursing homes, health agencies and mental health centres.
